Hard to believe how many Waypoints via Mobile emailed out to successful: Hunters! The only way is via below:
Dinosaur – Lope Hunters over the years. Many have contacted me via email and Facebook Page: Oregon Antelope – Pronghorn Hunters. Exciting that members are sharing ideas and a number are willing to help in the field. Amazing Is all I can say! Bwana Bubba aka Cobra ?
2022 I have been all over Clackamas Counties areas since the BLM-Antifa Fires in 2022. Amazing how many Blactails I have seen…Have gone up the Molalla River Corridor in early April about 22 miles. Devastating the destruction from the dirtbag made fires Logger are taking out the burnt timber, grass and vegetation is doing well. Water Falls are easy to see now. 04/26/22

Clint, I have decide to wait another year. I would be more than happy to help you. We do have some great bucks. There was an 88” buck taken with a Muzzleloader in one of top spots.
Your expected to have a Garmin GPS and or Mobile device that is loaded with @onxhunt #onxhunt. This way I can share waypoints or send you a GPX file for Garmin Colored GPS

Well Mr. Biggs,
Are you hunting Antelope in 2019? I understand 2018 was a pretty good year for good Lopes! I would like to pick your brain on the subject and what is the best 7nit since I have 20 points and not a resisdent of Oregon. I live in Montana!

My brother & I spotted a pair of Aoudad rams/billies just off the highway a few miles from S.J. late this summer & it spurred us into doing some research. We’re planning to make a first attempt at hunting these free-range critters and/or Mouflon this winter, but don’t know where to begin. Various folks have hinted at D. Canyon for Auodad, or the D no name river canyon south of No name for Mouflon. Any information would be much appreciated, especially about public lands we might be able to access. Thanks so much!

Recently moved to the Medford area. No luck on any draws this year. So I am chasing blacktails in the Applegate Unit on a Western General tag. I spent the first half of the season just trying to see as much of the unit as possible. Now with 10 days left I am really trying to get a buck in the freezer. Any suggestions on where to start looking? Most of my hunting has been East of Upper Applegate Rd, because of the fire this year. Anything helps!

Hi I have a question. I have been looking around for a place to take my GF to hunt in the willamette unit. She has a disability tag so she’s aloud to have a hair tag and it would be her first deer. So im asking if you might steer me in the right direction so she can get her first deer it would be greatly appreciated. Good site by the way
Super excited…drew Whitehorse pronghorn AND Trout Mtns. mule deer (had lots of points). Any suggestions on best part of unit to hunt and where to camp (it’s hot so near water would be a bonus). Also, we live in the Rogue Valley so transporting in a timely manner is a concern…field process and break down to fit in coolers? Thank you for any help you can offer!!
Not a problem David. Would be glad to help you.
Frank

Mr. Biggs – Mr. Trumble, you have so many names… Cobra-Bubba-Bwana Bubba- Frank. Sometimes I think your full of Bull Shit when you write and when you talk. You see, I have done my own investigations on you! That is what many of us can do that have worked for the Government. Well I have to say that you are real and I have found that you are quite truthful in your words in writing and also verbally! Interesting that you would put out so much information in the sense of Free.

Got some cow elk tags for youth Murders Creek/Northside unit my family was going to use in the summer and do a month long scouting/hunt trip. We had to cancel and move to Christmas break this year. Haven’t been able to get out and scout like I would have liked. Any opinion on some general area’s we could concentrate on? Thanks.
2015 Oregon Pronghorn Hunt
Frank,
Thanks so much for the info,
I ended hooking up with a old friend.
He had scouted since Monday and found a herd and their water source.
We walked about 10 miles Friday Morning searching about 8 different ridges that merge into a single water source saw 8 deer drinking no sign of lopes, we split up on our walk back and he spotted and shot a small lone buck.
We went back to camp and referred to his previous evening where he jumped a herd of lopes heading to a water source, he had text me that evening telling me about the event and that the 2 lead animals were doing about 90mph and are probably made it to Burns by now. That made me chuckle a bit.
I remembered in one of your earlier articles that lopes are creatures of habit so I was determined to sit on the watering hole from the previous evening and wait.
We headed to the watering hole at 6:30ish and jumped the herd of lopes on the way. They were flying and I was temporarily disappointed for a moment as I thought we ruined the hunt, but they stopped about 185 yards out behind a small cover. We snuck and 40 yards to a log,
I had my sights on one in particular buck that was protected by branches and there was a small window opening in front of him I had him dead to rights if he walked in my window sure enough that’s exactly what happened.
If it wasn’t for your info about there behavior and patterns I wouldn’t have taken my first Antelope.
Thanks Mike Sigsby
Hello,
I have been over in the Grizzly unit hunting all over, either hiking, driving the gravel roads, we have covered allot of ground from forest service road 27 up to McKay creek. we have not seen a single elk or herd any elk talking at all this year so far. the weather must be keeping them quiet or we are just not in the right area. We have seen elk on the Ochoco side just after dark headed back to camp but they didn’t seem to be talking either. I am headed over this friday again for a short weekend and then going back tuesday to hunt the rest of the season. I have been getting different information from everyone i have talked to over in that area, no one wants to give up any secrets or spots. I was lucky enough to draw my rifle tag for that unit in 2012 and ended up with a brute that scored 335 6/8 (my first and only elk) on the last weekend. any helpful advise would be much appreciated. i am a meat hunter and would love to get some elk meat back in my freezer for the family. Thanks for your time.

Was wondering about Aoudad hunting in Oregon. Can’t find anything at ODFW. Questions – legal to hunt on public land and legal wepons I can use. Thanks!

Ah! Sam, I do remember you well from those days. Been a very long time since those days of catching a lot of salmon. Then there was you who could catch the Blue Ribbon Steelhead on the Wind River. So how is the Judge you use to hang with!
Frank aka Cobra
Frank,
I think I know you from a past life, as in fishing on the Wind River back in the late 80’s with a group of guys that worked or hung around the Burns Bros. Sportsmen Center on S.E. Union Ave. You hunted a great deal then, but still found time to fly fish for Nookers on the Wind River in May and June.
Well I have 12 Elk preference points, 21 Pronghorn points and last but not least I have 12 Deer points for the state of Oregon. I will be shooting a 300 Weatherby pushing 180gr Barnes X’s out of it at about 3300 ft. per second… I can shoot out to 750 yards. I have all the time in the world to hunt and will hunt how ever long it takes. I would like to get a Boone & Crocket Elk and Pronghorn. I understand you can dial me into big animals with this amount of points. By the way I hope that you remember you sold me that Weatherby when you did the Sportsmen’s Shows. If I remember you sold something like 24 Weatherby’s at the show and had all your heads hanging on wood poles around the display. Did you ever sell the John Wayne Rifle you had on display in that big old heavy display case? By the way how is Steve Pomp, Larry Wong and some guy name Bone or Tim… We sure did get a lot of Nookers those years on the Wind. I think we caught more fish than Jim Teeny did and we didn’t drag any lines to do it… Let me know what you think! I will buy a new Garmin and the software from Montana… What Garmin should I buy? Sam Houston
Matt, thank you very much for your comment back! I only I wish I had more time when I am down in Springfield.

Hey Bubba,
Great site with all kinds of great hunting info. I will hunting Beaty Butte next month and was hoping you might be able to shed some knowledge my way. I am concentrating on the Pueblos but just not sure where. Have any insight for me? Would be very much appreciated, thanks.
Bubba,
I have a Muzzleloader antelope Tag for Paulina, have 5 days left any thoughts? Been around the Pine Mountain area and just not seeing them like usual. Thanks for any help.
To start, what a awesome website you have. It’s great that your there to help oregon hunters. Well I drew a rifle, Keating antelope tag. Any suggestions on areas to hunt. I’ve been scouting a lot of BLM land around keating, but have only seen a few antelope. I also drew a Mt Emily archery Bull tag. I know the are very well as it is in my backyard, but would like to learn the northern part of the unit better, any suggestions. Thanks Travis
My little brother and I drew Juniper Antelope Tag. Have been putting in for Hart Mtn for years and really didnt’ want to draw. We will only have one weekend to hunt as he is going to Montana and I bow hunt elk. Any advice, suggestions? Bill
Hello Bwana,
I drew a grizzly lope tag I really wasn’t expecting to get it, I only had 2 points. I’ve been doing some preliminary research and ran across your sight. It really seams like you know that area, and the people you’ve helped have had success. I’ve been hunting only a few year and really enjoy it, so to draw a lope tag blew my mind. I’ve done very little scouting for lopes, so any help you can give would be much appreciated. Thank you

I have just drawn the Steens Unit for antelope. I have killed mule deer in the unit.
Have some good ideas, but looking for additional advice.

Looking for info and advice for 2012 Antelope hunt. Limited mobility handicap but avid deer and elk hunter. Have 10 preference points and no idea where to put in for. All I need is to get within a few hundred yards and possibly even closer. Can hike, have gear, need info.
Hi Bubba, Just registered and looking for some information on antelope hunting in the Grizzly unit for rifle. My wife and I both have 9 preference points and looking for a hunt close to home that we could draw this year. Saw the video on you tube of the nice buck that you photographed in 2008, just wondering if you know if that buck is still around or one of your hunters killed him. Thanks for the help. Take care Jeff
We got drawn for Wagontire this year for deer. Been scouting the sounthern end and haven’t seen any deer. Do you have any pointers, I know most tag holders hunt the north end, so want to avoid that mess… Thanx Manny
